Sun Tail

Piece description from the artist

One thing I try to take advantage of when taking photos next to the ocean is to look for interesting reflections on the ground made by the water layer on the sand. The sparks of the sunlight here were visible from that water reflection and then amplified in the image editing process. What I enjoy about this photo is the contrast between the dark shadows and the bright sunlight with its reflection. There are always hidden shapes and surprises in water reflections, regardless of how simple or complex. This image is a personal favorite of mine due to my love of spending time at the ocean and the elements of a surrealist painting that are hinted at here.
