Spring Arpeggio

Piece description from the artist

I was on a day hike with my kids when these leaves caught my eye, sheltered under an overhang and just catching the light. It was a rainy spring day in north Idaho, and in the photographs I took I loved the effect these droplets had when out of focus. In this drawing I experimented with depicting that soft-focus effect, what photographers call bokeh. It was a fun drawing to create and is appealing to viewers.
