Pink Rainfall Over Manitou Springs

Piece description from the artist

As we made our way back to the car at Red Rock Canyon in Manitou Springs, Colorado, storm clouds and distant lightning began to roll in. I paused along a curved hiking trail beside a metal fence, looking out over the mountains when a section of falling rain caught my eye, naturally lit with a soft pink glow and accompanied by a flicker of lightning. I had never seen anything like it. The sun was setting behind us, casting cool tones across the storm clouds, creating a dramatic and surreal atmosphere. Red Rock Canyon, nestled between Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, offers stunning views similar to Garden of the Gods, but with the rugged charm of an old rock quarry. We had been hiking and waiting for sunset, but as the lightning drew closer, we knew it was time to make a quick retreat.
