Piece description from the artist
On a very rainy, autumn, above timberline, afternoon, I hoped for a bit of late day sun to part the gloomy day, and behold, the sun shown just in time. The perfect lighting in Colorado, especially in high elevation, is fleeting and ephemeral! You must react quickly and always be ready to capture the perfect lighting. In this capture, that is exactly the situation! I was actually walking away, ready to give up, when I turned around and released my shutter. I was able to capture just the right amount of reflection in this beautiful little tarn.
