Trying To Survive

Piece description from the artist

I was surprised to see these flowers still surviving into late autumn. It was extremely cold this day, but there they were still looking cheerful! I loved the muted colors of the forest and the purple hues of the petals against the yellow of the pistil. I'm not exactly sure what wildflower this is but it resembles a coneflower.
