Monet Bow Bridge Giverny, France Garden

Piece description from the artist

This gorgeous close up view features the Claude Monet bow bridge in his famous waterlily garden at his home in Giverny, France. My aim was to capture a full view of his decades old wisteria plant as it draped itself over the entire wooden bridge. The plant was dripping with lavender petals that reflected a pastel hue over the entire scene. I was inspired by Monet's paintings that I had studied since elementary school. Seeing this in person was overwhelming. I knew that the wisteria was a key element in this composition so I filled the lens with this ideal spring plant. I wanted to create a scene for others who may not see this bridge in the height of spring.
