Piece description from the artist
The Pemaquid Point Light is a historic U.S. lighthouse located in Bristol, Lincoln County, Maine, at the tip of the Pemaquid Neck. I captured this particular view of this lighthouse because I wanted to emphasize how lovely nature can be to show off its main attractions via a natural pool of water that perfectly reflects the lighthouse during moments after the ocean fills the gap. Seeing this unusual wavy rock beach brings humans closer to our natural environment. My goal was to isolate a location away from urban cityscapes to show to reveal the captivated contrast that lies near the ocean. I waited for the right moment to capture this scene. My hope is that the viewer can understand how nature interacts with manmade architecture to create a picturesque scene.
