Piece description from the artist
This photo captures the Gorgeous Palais du Luxembourg in the Luxembourg Gardens of Paris, France. This garden is unique in that it combines elements of Italian, French, and English landscape design. My goal in creating this photo was to showcase the brilliance of this garden in spring. The wild flowers that are in the foreground of my photo are wild but still contained. They are vibrant, multicolored and in full bloom. I went there at 10 AM to catch the sunlight in mid morning glow. My aim was to give others a chance to see this proliferation of natural beauty against a classical building to understand the contrast between urban architecture and nature. This piece is all about natural elements in formal places. It is about finding peace in a green space amidst a bustling city with visitors from all over the world. This garden is a gentle reminder that peace comes from finding a place to be still, even though we are surrounded with chaos.
