Piece description from the artist
This capture of a golden muse located at the Trocadero near the Eiffel Tower in Paris appears to be gazing at the vanishing Eiffel Tower as a foggy dawn encases the top portion of the Tower. My goal in creating this image was to see this area as the sun had just risen and prior to the arrival of the throngs of visitors. I wanted to create a sense of isolation and tranquility with this plaza mostly empty. The fog was an added revelation as I exited my taxi and saw that it appeared as if the Eiffel Tower had been erased from the sky. Weather makes significant variations in what we see, and the atmospheric conditions can be quite fleeting, as that particular morning unfolded. I hope that the viewer will see the hidden side of Paris that many may miss by not climbing out of bed to go where others are not. These four golden statues which are on either side of the esplanade represent the allegories. The one I feature in the photo has turned her head, as if she were mesmerized, as I was, by the misty fog.
