“Oyster in Indigo – Study 2” featuring the delicate colors of an oyster against a deep indigo blue background. Loose brushstrokes depict the natural energy and movement of the ocean.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
