A green summer marsh in the Lowcountry. Inspired by a favorite view in Charleston, South Carolina, the warm summer breeze softly moves the marsh grass against cumulous clouds that billow above. The tidal creek water's stillness reflects the glory of beauty all around.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
