Coastal Pines against a lowcountry marsh landscape. Warm terracotta oranges and olive green make a subdued color palette of harmony. light reflects all around the surface of the water and the blue sky is mirrored against marsh grasses.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
