This oil painting captures the serenity of sunset over a serene slice of nature. One can almost hear and smell the tidal creek as it weaves its way through the grasses. Originally painted in oil on canvas.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
