Piece description from the artist
A dramatic side-profile study of a Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress (Memphis Belle) banking smoothly past a low setting sun. Captured from an elevated three-quarter vantage point, the composition highlights the olive-drab airframe, WWII squadron markings, and nose artwork against a layered sky of moody overcast clouds above and a warm golden haze below. The low sun near the horizon casts a soft, warm glow along the forward nose section and wing edges, setting off the dark, heavy tones of the cloud ceiling.
