Using paint, she tries to grow connections between human life and nature by juxtaposing the two forces as equals. To Molly, life is a continuous chain of war, birth, growth, dominion, death and more life; everything exchanges energy with everything, and this relationship provides an equalizer. More specifically, her work aims to place human life in the same context as nature, rather than above it.
With this in mind, Molly uses traditional landscape imagery not as a romantic notion, but as the perfect place to explore the inherent equality of living here. For Molly, paint is an essential medium for her to explore this idea of equalization. In doing so, she attempts to utilize paints in their truest forms and allow them to drip, glide, pool up, and form impenetrable walls of opacity.
