Fabian has worked for over 30 years as a professional contemporary artist.

During this time she investigated the contrast between abstract contemporary art and "Mughal miniature":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mughal_painting painting styles and textile designs. Upon returning to the United States she formed a collective of Pakistani artists to promote discussion about contemporary art issues. This international collaboration was one of several that collectively earned her a "Puffin Foundation Award":http://www.puffinfoundation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=23&Itemid=37 in 2002.

Fabian’s long list of accomplishments stretches on from there. She received a "Pollock Krasner Grant":http://www.pkf.org/grant.html in 2005 and created an animated music video with San Antonio Jazz musician Bett Butler that sold to the "McNay Art Museum":http://www.mcnayart.org/ in 2008.
