Little village

Little Village

Piece description from the artist

I painted this piece in remembrance of my mother who was born in a small village in Slovakia. She came to America on the sister ship of the Titanic which was called the Olympic. In my mother's village they painted the interior walls with fancy symbols to ward off evil spirits and attract good ones. I will always remember her wonderful stories of life in her mountainous village.
