By the pier at Dania Beach, I found this empty tortoise nesting path that led towards the sea. As the sun rose, I noticed a pyramid forming in the clouds, and I adjusted my composition to include it. I called this Yucahu's Piramide, Yucahu, the masculine spirit of fertility in Taíno mythology. As a Boricua near the Atlantic coast, these moments in the morning sun take me to a faraway place long lost within the waves.
