The gentle tumbling roar of a waterfall is perhaps one of the most pleasing sounds that humans can perceive. This tumbler, beneath Loch Lomond in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of central Colorado, was a sage to me during my time living in Denver. Stealing away to this zone on a regular basis afforded me the opportunity to live and learn amongst the ancient mountains. To put a finger precisely on what motivates us to stare and find peace while in the presence of a waterfall is a prospect of incompleteness. Perhaps it is enough to know this peace, and let it motivate our humility.
Kevin Lange is a photographer living in central New Mexico.
