Sun flow

Sun Flow

Piece description from the artist

Shooting photography in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains provides me with a reliably majestic interplay of light and land. For decades I have roamed this zone on foot and wheel, with camera gear on my back. This particular bit of flowy trail always invited my interest for its intrinsic shape. It took months of observation before finally in the cold of December, the sun fit itself perfectly within my pre-visualized composition. On that December evening, all aspects of an aesthetically meaningful image came to be.
