It's all about light. So many of my best shots have incredible lighting that is provided in quick and fleeting moments. Being patient is the key. I loved this shot because of the bokeh, the curves and soft lighting. I was also struck by the contrast between soft and hard, gentle and sharp. Cactus plants offer that in so many ways. Such sharp points protecting amazing blossoms.
