Piece description from the artist
A stunning and expansive mountain view near Hogan Pass Overlook along Utah State Route 72 near Loa. Snow-capped peaks rise above rolling hills and forested valleys, creating a breathtaking landscape where mountains, desert, and woodlands all come together in one scene.
Visible in the distance are Geyser Peak and Hens Hole Peak, while far off to the left of the moutnains, a distant tiny peak of Capitol Reef National Park can also be seen. Part of the surrounding Fishlake National Forest, the landscape is filled with layers of natural beauty.
A barbed wire fence winds through the valley below as roadside vegetation and softly rolling terrain lead the eye toward the towering mountains, which rise to elevations over 10,800 feet. Standing at nearly 8,975 feet above sea level, the cool mountain air and dramatic clouds overhead made this already majestic Utah view feel even more unforgettable.
