Before sunrise, warm golden light begins to glow along the horizon behind the Colorado Mills Animal Feed Store and surrounding industrial farm area in Lamar, Colorado, USA. I framed the mill between two silhouetted trees, creating a strong focal point against the early morning sky. The railroad tracks catch the first light of day, subtly glowing as they lead through the scene on the side. On the far side of the tracks, various pieces of farm and industrial equipment rest quietly, reflecting the working character of this small agricultural town in southeastern Colorado.
