This painting is about the majestic birds of the southeast coast – the Great Blue Heron and Great White Egrets.
I grow orchids, hibiscus, tropical flowers in my back yard in Florida. I take lots of pictures and love painting the rich bright colors of the flowers in my paintings.
Beth Haizlip calls herself a “happy colorful expressionist artist”. She uses bold colorful strokes that makes the painting more interesting and not like you are a viewing a photograph. She is motivated by the ocean, nature and music.
Beth has done many jazz and festival posters in her career. She is recently creating some very large paintings for Nemours Children Hospital in Jacksonville and painting murals to beautify the city. “It is wonderful that my paintings can make people smile and feel better about themselves. I love a challenge and painting big!“
