Thaw

Piece description from the artist

Snow recedes in the fog of early spring. • This ranch in western Montana isn’t far from my Idaho home. Spectacular mountains tower above it, but they’re not visible through the fog of this early spring day. The scene is quieter than that, with snowbanks retreating and a tree awakening, while a far bank of trees and an old hay shed speak of the summer days to come.
