Location: Snoqualmie, WA – 2021
Close to my home, there was a beloved hiking spot I affectionately named "Stump Stack Way" due to the presence of towering, weathered tree stumps that lined its path.
Regrettably, in 2023, this picturesque trail met a somewhat tragic fate. Although this trail still held some charm, the area photographed was no more. Burned, and in some cases turned into wood chips, the old stumps were gone.
In the face of this loss, I take solace in the art I've created, preserving the memory of this once beautiful path. It serves as a reminder of the fleeting nature of landscapes and the importance of documenting their essence while they endure.
