Male Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna)
A jeweled king surveys his realm. Perched within his emerald universe, his gaze downward, your* presence is now part of his. The observer becomes the observed: eyes, polished onyx beads, and an iridescent throat patch extending over his head like adorned armor. The leaves frame him like stained glass in nature’s cathedral. “Even kings bow to curiosity.”

Santos "Sanzei" López is a fine art photographer for whom the camera is the culmination of a lifelong visual journey. His artistic practice was ignited in childhood with a simple 35mm film camera, a gift from his mother, who became his first subject and instilled in him the belief that photography could capture profound joy and connection.
