Location: Snoqualmie Mill Pond, WA – 2021
The late summer of 2020 saw me making a life-changing move to the picturesque town of Snoqualmie, Washington. It's a place where nature's beauty seamlessly weaves itself into the fabric of everyday life, where inspiration awaits at every turn.
Among the myriad natural wonders that grace Snoqualmie and North Bend, Mount Si is king. For months, I sought the perfect perspective to capture its grandeur. Then, one day, while winding along the backroads, I glimpsed something extraordinary—a reflection of Mount Si on a tranquil lake. It was a moment that beckoned me to seize the image I had long envisioned.
Determined to capture this vision, I marked the time. At around 7:30 p.m., I hastily gathered my gear and ventured out. Guided by the reflection, I discovered a cozy spot by the old mill pond and made this photo.
In composing this shot, I meticulously aligned the clouds with the shapes of lily pads adorning the water's surface. I patiently waited for the right moment, and then I clicked.
