I captured this side view of the historic dam and cascading waterfall at Mammoth Spring State Park in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, United States, during the beautiful fall season. Surrounded by autumn colors, the rushing water and rugged stonework create a peaceful scene that highlights one of the Ozarks' most remarkable attractions.
Mammoth Spring is one of the largest natural springs in the region, releasing an incredible nine million gallons of water every hour. The spring's crystal-clear waters form a picturesque 10-acre lake before flowing southward as the Spring River, a nationally known Ozark stream celebrated for its trout fishing, floating, and scenic beauty.
Encompassing approximately 62.5 acres, Mammoth Spring State Park preserves both the natural wonder of the spring and the rich history surrounding it. This photo features the beauty of the season and the powerful waters that have shaped this iconic Arkansas destination for generations.
