This painting was on display at the National Museum of Sport earlier this year. It's about the fame and fortune of the world famous snowboarding hero Shaun White. He was able to overcome so many obstacles in his youth like a congenital heart defect and a relatively low income level compared to his snowboarder rivals.
Rachel Goede is from Omaha, Nebraska, where she started drawing with pens when she was only one year old.
During high school, she started to paint and went to study in Italy as an exchange student. When Rachel came back to the United States, she attended Arizona State University, where she graduated with a degree in Italian and painting in 2008. Today, Rachel is a full-time mom, a full-time marketer, a full-time artist, and a part-time day-dreamer.
She currently works as a gallery attendant in Scottsdale, Arizona where she can be surrounded by art on a daily basis.
