Captain John Murdock owns and operates SEA HAG on the island of Monhegan, Maine. The island has strict lobstering rules, and a dedicated area where only Monhegan lobstermen are allowed to set their traps. Within that area, each lobsterman has his or her own area which may have been passed down from father to son or daughter for generations.
Kathleen A. Fox PhD lives and paints primarily in and around Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde, Maine. Her whimsical style beautifully captures the freedom and quirkiness of Maine.
Fox studied art and journalism at Cornell University and received a PhD in Social Welfare at the Rockefeller College, SUNY Albany, in 1996. A life-long artist, she has won numerous awards for her watercolors, including the Utrecht Award at the New England Watercolor Society Bi-Annual International Show in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
She has also written and illustrated five award-winning children’s books, a book of essays, and a book about the Wyoming Valley set in the 1700s.
Fox maintains a studio/gallery on Blackberry Hill Road, Tenants Harbor, Maine.
