Lobster boat races are held for working lobstermen in Stonington, Maine on one Sunday each summer. The lobstermen and women who win take home prizes of bait, lobster traps, lobster gear, cash, and bragging rights for the next year. Here HOOLIGAN, owned by Captain Davin Haskell of North Haven beats out Gypsy Queen, owned by Captain Kevin Oliver.

Kathleen A. Fox PhD lives and paints primarily in and around Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde, Maine. Her whimsical style beautifully captures the freedom and quirkiness of Maine.
Fox studied art and journalism at Cornell University and received a PhD in Social Welfare at the Rockefeller College, SUNY Albany, in 1996. A life-long artist, she has won numerous awards for her watercolors, including the Utrecht Award at the New England Watercolor Society Bi-Annual International Show in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
She has also written and illustrated five award-winning children’s books, a book of essays, and a book about the Wyoming Valley set in the 1700s.
Fox maintains a studio/gallery on Blackberry Hill Road, Tenants Harbor, Maine.
