Rainbow basin

Rainbow Basin

Piece description from the artist

This work fuses two images I took while standing in the same spot, moving only my camera. I took inspiration from the looming tree branches, extending the images even more through folding the photographic paper. This stretching effect mixed with the overlapping images emphasizes the surreal ambience of the forrest.

Starting with 35mm film she has migrated through a variety of photographic processes in recent years, from Pinhole to TLR cameras. Linnea is always working to break the photographic norm through experimental darkroom manipulations, while simultaneously illustrating her own emotions and experiences through her imagery.
