This stunning vantage point on the rooftop terrace of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is the best view in town! Paris is phenomenal and as Audrey Hepburn said, "Paris is always a good idea." My goal in capturing this view was to show the beauty of the Eiffel Tower from a fairly close, but aerial perch. I waited until 5 PM so that the sun was not directly overhead, and on this day, there were was great cloudage to add to the scene. The colors of the trees that line the streets below were lush and green. I was thinking of how the Eiffel Tower must have looked when it was first erected for the tenth Exposition Universelle in 1889. To see it now, still standing, and as a worldwide symbol of Paris, and France, is what I want the viewer to take away. I want others to realize its beauty in timeless and this is most evident from the top of the Arc de Triomphe.
