This stunning view of the famous Gothic Cathedral in Paris, France was captured in late afternoon during a timeframe when Paris had received an excess of rain. As I walked by the stunning cathedral, the clouds parted and allowed the sun to peek through a shaft of blue sky. The golden light of these warm rays radiated on the rose window and turned the entire side of the cathedral a gorgeous golden hue. I wanted to freeze that fleeting moment as the sun bathed the structure so radiantly. My goal was to show others how perfect this structure is in all its grandeur. As this church was shortly afterward severly burned in a fire, I was so grateful to have seen it in all its original glory.

Lillis' goal is to create scenes with a unique perspective in a composition and color range to allow the viewer to feel as if they are in the scene. She wants her artwork to inspire others to travel and explore new locations.
