New York, I Love You

Piece description from the artist

Is there a greater city on earth? I would say no, but I am biased. I have lived downtown for two decades now, and I still love it as much as I ever have. This is the view from the Williamsburg Bridge. It's an unusual and special view, because it is viewing midtown from the southeast, so you don't see a lot of the hallmarks of the YC skyline like One World Trade Center or 30 Rockefeller. The Empire State Building is my favorite building in the world. Not because of it's beauty (which you might argue doesn't exist) but because it represents New York to me more than any other skyscraper.

About Patrick Hamilton

New York, NY

Patrick Hamilton is a writer and photographer who lives and works in New York City. His photographs of landscapes and cityscapes include locations from all over the world. He also captures the everyday life of people of the many cultures he visits. No matter the subject, Patrick’s work focuses on the ideas of grandeur and awe.

Patrick Hamilton’s career began in 2004 when he got his first film camera. He promptly fell in love with photography and immediately combined it with his passion for travel. His experiences and artistic direction eventually culminated in his distinct style of combing iconic natural wonders with a sense of isolation and stoicism.
