Nereides

Nereides

Piece description from the artist

Nereides, from Greek mythology, are female spirits of sea waters who sometimes accompany Poseidon, the god of the sea, and can be helpful to sailors, as in the Argonauts in their search for the Golden Fleece.

I chose this title because it connects with an ongoing series of seascapes influenced by Japanese art, mythology and the idea of invisible nature spirits that may exist all around us.
