Piece description from the artist

I draw inspiration from nature, the world around me, my personal history and relationships and other artists' work. I'm often engaged with images of nests and webs. Their intricately woven forms appeal to me not only aesthetically but also because they represent connectivity, interaction, community. I'm interested not only in how these nurturing, delicate environments are constructed, but also in what happens when they fall apart due to neglect or environmental degradation.
