This is a painting of a spectacular sunset filling the sky behind the silhouettes of tall douglas firs in Mt. Tabor Park in Portland, OR. Little spots of white sunlight glitter and sparkle like diamonds through the tree branches. The twinkling light is almost blinding, and gives an impression of movement, as if the light is really shifting within the painting.
