This painting of the brilliant sun shining through the canopy of a redwood forest is called “Radiance.” Life on Earth is only possible because of the energy from our planet’s nearest star. Our life-giving sun is central to the story of humanity. This painting is powerful and bold, with its extreme light/dark contrast, the sun’s bright light taking over the canvas, and the dramatic perspective of the redwood trees so high in the sky.
