The presence of bees is an indicator of life. Their presence allows me to reflect on the life of the natural world and even my own life. Hours went by as I tried to capture the perfect moment of a singular bee landing on a lavender flower. I took a deep breath as the bee made contact. In that moment, my life, the bee's life, and the life of this blossoming plant all seemed to connect harmoniously.
Blaise Roy Ormond is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Blaise began shooting film photography as a hobby in 2017 after completing his Master’s degree in Media Ventures from Boston University. Over the years, as the world of photography continued to trend more digital, he became passionate about revitalizing tangible art with analog technology. This passion has inspired Blaise to shoot photography exclusively with 110 film and capture that nostalgic essence on vintage cameras.
