"The Giant Sequoia" is an image created while admiring the breathtakingly colossal size of the Sequoia trees. As the sun shined brightly across the forest, I found the perfect subject. The black & white film and the faint striations that appeared after processing created a historic aura that complemented this ancient giant.
Blaise Roy Ormond is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Blaise began shooting film photography as a hobby in 2017 after completing his Master’s degree in Media Ventures from Boston University. Over the years, as the world of photography continued to trend more digital, he became passionate about revitalizing tangible art with analog technology. This passion has inspired Blaise to shoot photography exclusively with 110 film and capture that nostalgic essence on vintage cameras.
