Kimberling City Table Rock Dockside Shoreline

I captured this peaceful shoreline scene along Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri, on a beautiful summer afternoon when a mix of clouds and sunshine created some wonderful light across the water. A boat dock reaching out from the rocky shoreline is seen on the right while some green bushes along the waters edge and in the water added a natural touch to the foreground. A gentle wave rolls in over the rocks.

I loved the simple contrast between the rugged rocks, calm blue water, and summer sky. The dock also gives the photograph a sense of depth, leading the eye away from the shoreline and out toward the expansive lake.

Table Rock is a large reservoir in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas, covering more than 67 square miles. Located near Branson, the lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Missouri Ozarks.
