Piece description from the artist
A peaceful long exposure photograph giving the flowing waters a silky apearance along Capps Creek as a waterfall cascades behind the historic Jolly Mill in Pierce City, Missouri. Captured on a beautiful autumn afternoon, the scene is framed by bold fall foliage in shades of gold, orange, and red, bringing the Ozarks to life with vibrant seasonal color.
The gentle movement of the creek, paired with the colorful trees ans smooth water, creates a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that makes this a beautiful place to photograph during the fall season.
The Jolly Mill Park area was once part of the 19th-century community of Jollification and has been carefully preserved with historic buildings, walking paths, and scenic overlooks. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this hidden gem offers visitors a wonderful blend of Missouri history, autumn beauty, and peaceful Ozark scenery.
