The collector of this piece chose the title "Indomitable Spirit" from a few presented to her. I love commissions and find them to be extra exciting and accelerating. In particular, this commission was fun because I shared my process through images and talking about the process every step of the way. We were both beyond pleased when this bison painting came to fruition.
The natural world and her love for animals inspire Dara Daniel's Acrylic on canvas, mixed-media paintings. She combines bold colors and shapes and lots of textures to create fun, playful interpretations of horses and other animal spirits.
For all her paintings, she combines all the available elements of design to express rhythms and energy and moods and emotion. Dara explains, "Each painting experience is unique yet, my goal for all my paintings is to capture a degree of nature's passionate spirit, joy, and beauty."
