Framing the monumental detail of 13th-century Scottish masonry, this fine art black-and-white photograph captures the overlapping arches and leaded window details of a medieval cathedral entrance. Subtle tonal transitions highlight the interplay between soft side-lighting, carved stone relief, and structural line.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
