After a brutally hot summer, the New York City gods made a peace offering of a lovely sunset complete with these beautiful clouds. I happened to the on my roof and ran downstairs (5 flights) to grab my camera. I was lucky to get this photo as the reds faded only moments later. A rare, beautiful moment.
Patrick Hamilton is a writer and photographer who lives and works in New York City. His photographs of landscapes and cityscapes include locations from all over the world. He also captures the everyday life of people of the many cultures he visits. No matter the subject, Patrick’s work focuses on the ideas of grandeur and awe.
Patrick Hamilton’s career began in 2004 when he got his first film camera. He promptly fell in love with photography and immediately combined it with his passion for travel. His experiences and artistic direction eventually culminated in his distinct style of combing iconic natural wonders with a sense of isolation and stoicism.
