Piece description from the artist
This landscape photograph was taken from behind a green desert bush, framing a distant view of the Colorado River as it carves through the rugged terrain near Hite, Utah, in the heart of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The layered red rock formations in the foreground showcase the striking textures of southern Utah’s desert landscape, while the distant blue silhouette of Mount Pennell rises above the horizon, adding depth and drama to the scene. Located just off Utah State Route 95 near the Hite Crossing Bridge, this remote viewpoint offers a stunning perspective of the Colorado Plateau and is ideal for photographers, nature lovers, and adventure travelers.
