Canyon Reflections

Piece description from the artist

The sky cleared; the sun emerged from clouds; perfect timing!!! When the sun shone through this reflection popped! This is a photograph that has taken me a few years to accomplish because the weather, lighting and atmosphere has to be just right. if it's too windy, the reflection isn't clear. If there is smoke, the lighting isn't correct, of if the sun is too bright, the colors become washed out. so, this day was pretty good!

About Barbara Schultheis

Littleton, CO

Barbara has been exposed to art and creativity, her entire life! Her mother was an oil painter and her grandfather, not only an MD, but a talented artist as well. At the age of 16, Barbara found her creative passion looking through the lens of a Canon camera. She has been a photographer from that point on, finding subject matter from the gritty streets of Manhattan, to the alpine environment of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She feels most at home now, among big horned sheep, moose and mountains of Colorado!
