California Shores Rocks

Piece description from the artist

In capturing this photograph, my goal was to show the expansive rock formations that nature created along the California shoreline not far from Big Sur. The colors of this amazing rock stood out strongly in contrast to the turquoise brilliance of the ocean. To add to the mystery, there was significant fog and mist. I had to leave my car and walk down close to the beach to capture this scene. I hope that the viewer can take in the size of this formation, as my intention was to showcase the natural beauty that lies on our country's western coast, one of the most stunning places in America. I focused more on the rock to accentuate its rusty vibrance.
